He
Owes Life To Crazy Horse
RUSHVILLE,
lll. (AP) - A man who once had a brush with Crazy Horse, chief of the Indian
nation, now is in his 100th year. Joseph Estes says he was on a wagon train
that operated between Cheyenne and Deadwood, Wyo. Crazy Horse, [and] another
Indian interpreter rode toward Estes' outfit. "Crazy Horse told us not
to fire any guns or cause any trouble and we woudn't be hurt. Then he and
his Indians took off and we got through all right."
Estes
attributes his longevity to peppermint candy and the fact that he "has
taken care of himself."
