1. Christian Roudebush was born in Pennsylvania on 4 April 1803. He is listed in the Bedford County tax records for Greenfield Twp. as a single man for the years 1830, 1831, and 1833. In 1840, he is found in Armstrong County, residing in Buffalo Twp. Christian and his family left Armstrong County around 1854 to escape the severe winters. They came to Schuyler County, Illlinois, and settled in Scab Hollow, Rushville Twp. They situated their log cabin on the north side of the hollow, close by a stream. Christian died 4 January 1890, and was buried in the Good Hope Cemetery, Kinderhook Road, Rushville Twp.

    Margaret Jane Martin was born in Pennsylvania on 1 January 1823, and was the daughter of James Martin and Catherine Cornman. Most of her single life was spent in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Margaret died 25 August 1895, and was buried next to her husband in Good Hope Cemetery.
