Frances Virginia Ryan
Francis Virginia Ryan, daughter of John and Margaret Ryan, was born
November 2, 1865, at the home of her parents in Buenavista township, being the fourth child in a family of five children. She
departed this life June 4, 1928, and leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Mrs. Lucy Green, brother William and a host of friends
and relatives.
She was converted in early life and joined the M. E. church at
Ebenezer, but during the past few years had been an active worker at Antioch Free Methodist church. She was of a quiet disposition,
but ever ready and willing to give a helping hand at all times when needed. Her life was the simple life of a true believer, the
life of one who sees the will of God in all things. By faith she walked the uneven journey of life, ever sustained and soothed by
an unfaltering trust, a trust that saw in all that was good the hand of her Heavenly Father.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. D. Boling, assisted by Rev.
T. W. Rippy, at Antioch church at 11 a. m., Wednesday, June 6; interment in the Hughs cemetery.
