Joseph Gaskell Dead
Joseph E. Gaskell, one of the oldest engineers in the employ of the Burlington, died at his home in Galesburg on Monday morning of
Kidney and heart trouble, after an illness of several weeks; aged sixty-nine years.
Mr. Gsskell was engineer on the Galesburg and Rushville passenger train for many years, and was well known in
Rushville, where he frequently visited with his wife, who was a daughter of the late A. J. Goodwin.
Mrs. R. C. Amrine and daughter Frances went to Galesburg Monday, when the news of Mr. Gaskell's death was
received, and Dr. Amrine was in attendance at the funeral, which was held in Galesburg on Wednesday.
