for MARY FRANCIS MCGRAW-SPIVA

MARY FRANCIS MCGRAW-SPIVA,
daughter of the late Matthew and Julia Ann McGraw, was born in Illinois, October 17,1861. She was married to T. J. Spiva, March 3,
1880, who preceded her in death two years ago last May. Nine children were born to this union., of which four died in infancy, five
children survive, namely: W. M. Spiva of north of Centralia, B. E. Spiva, Mrs. Raymond Karns of National City, Calif., T. R. Spiva of
Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. N. G. Davis of Chicago. Four brothers and six sisters also survive, T. J. McGraw of Littleton, Ill., J. L.
McGraw of Littleton, Colo., William McGraw of Wyoming, Warren McGraw of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. W. H. Wilmot of south of
Centralia, Mrs. C. E. Sellers of Centralia, Mo., Mrs. G.F. Ballew and Mrs. L. L. Spencer of Columbia, Mrs. Rolla Wilmot of Teckla,
Wyoming, and Mrs. Artie Park of Chicago.
Deceased was converted and
joined in the Methodist Church when a girl. In this faith she lived until death.
Mrs. Spiva moved with her
husband from Schuyler county, Ill., to the Spiva farm, north of Centralia, Mo., forty years ago where they made their home until the
fall of 1926, when they retired, and purchased the late J. L. Garner property in Centralia, Mo., and moved to that place where they
spent the remainder of their lives. It can be truly said of her a faithful wife, kind mother, and a good neighbor has gone to her
reward. She will be missed by a large number of friends , which she valued very highly.
Funeral services were conducted
at the Allen Methodist church in Centralia at 1:30 o’clock by the Rev. B.L. Holcomb, Tuesday afternoon. Internment in the
cemetery.
