Mary Manyx passed from this life on Tuesday, July 4 at midnight, at her home in LaBelle Mo., at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 6 days.  Death was caused by heart trouble.
For weeks she had been hovering between life and death, and those near and dear to her had come to realize that the final summons might come at any moment.  And yet, her death like her beautiful life was blissful and serene as she passed from gentle sleep to that glorious would beyond.
Mary Angel, Daughter of Josiah and Clarissa Angel, was born in Rushville, Ill, Feb. 28, 1853.  On August 5, 1874, she was united in marriage to Michael Manyx, who died Oct. 25, 1896.  To this union were born nine children, of whom seven survive.  She also leaves four brothers. two sisters and one grandchild to mourn her death.
Deceased was a member of the M. E. Church since a young girl and lived ever thoughtful of her duty to God.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the First M. E. church in Rushville, conducted by Dr. Royal W. Ennis.
