Brought Home for Burial
Mrs. Mary Manyx, who has been making her home in LaBelle, Mo., for the past few months with her daughter, died in
the city on Tuesday night. A telegram was received in Rushville on Wednesday giving news of her death, and stating that the
remains would be brought to Rushville for interment. It is expected that the funeral party will arrive on the 8:20 train this
(Thursday) evening and funeral services will be held tomorrow. 7-6-11
Mary Manyx passed from this life on Tuesday, July 4 at midnight, at her home in LaBelle Mo., at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 6
days. Death was caused by heart trouble.
For weeks she had been hovering between life and death, and those near and dear to her had come to realize that
the final summons might come at any moment. And yet, her death like her beautiful life was blissful and serene as she passed
from gentle sleep to that glorious would beyond.
Mary Angel, Daughter of Josiah and Clarissa Angel, was born in Rushville, Ill,
Feb. 28, 1853. On August 5, 1874, she was united in marriage to Michael Manyx, who died Oct. 25, 1896. To this union were
born nine children, of whom seven survive. She also leaves four brothers. two sisters and one grandchild to mourn her
death.
Deceased was a member of the M. E. Church since a young girl and lived ever thoughtful of her duty to
God.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the First M. E. church in
Rushville, conducted by Dr. Royal W. Ennis.
