MRS. B. F. GEER DIED IN BROWNING MONDAY
Mrs. Delilah Rebman Geer, widow of B. F. Geer, life long resident of
Schuyler county, died Monday night at her home in Browning after a lingering illness, in her seventy-second year. Mrs. Geer, a
daughter of John and Margaret Hoffman Rebman, pioneer residents of Friderick township, was born on the homestead farm March 30,
1857.
On Sept. 20, 1875, she was united in marriage to Benjamin F. Geer and
their home was established on a farm in Browning township. To this union were born eight children, viz: Fred M., of LaHarpe, Kans.;
Homer of Browning; Hiram, (deceased); Mrs. Lena Walton of Browning; Roy of Browning; Milton and Harlan of Bushnell; Mrs. Florence
Wallace of Davenport, Iowa, and Eugene of Lake Forest.
Mrs. Geer was preceded in death by her husband three years ago and
during the long months of her illness she has been tenderly cared for by her children.
Beside her children, Mrs. Geer is survived by on brother, Phillip
Rebman of St. Louis, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Black of this city.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. T. W. Rippy of Rushville, will be
held from the M. E. church in Browning Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Browning
cemetery.
