MRS. WM. SHOUP DROPPED DEAD IN FLORIDA HOME
Mrs. George R. Logan has received news of the death of her aunt, Mrs.
William Shoup, which occurred Friday at her home at Titusville, Fla., where the Shoup family had removed from Augusta a few years
ago.
Mrs. Shoup's maiden name was Jane Bovey. She was a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Bovey, pioneer residents of Littleton township, and her early girlhood days were spent in this
locality.
The sudden death of Mrs. Shoup, who fell dead in her home, is an
unusual coincidence inasmuch as the entire family of eight children, four brothers and four sisters, have died in exactly the same
manner, death coming without warning.
Mrs. Shoup was the last surviving member of this pioneer family. The
brothers and sisters preceding her in death were: Mrs. John Caldwell, Mrs. Herman Yaap, Mrs. Thomas Haber, Joseph, Daniel, Simeon
and John Bovey.
