Norris Oliver (Ollie) Wilson Obituary



Sterling Journal Advocate, Sterling, Colorado, Wed, Sept. 9, 1964, page 5 (Logan County) N.O. Wilson Of Sterling Dies; Funeral Friday Norris Oliver (Ollie) Wilson 84 of Douglas St., died Tuesday afternoon at Logan county hospital after an illness of seven weeks. Funeral will be at 1p.m. Friday at Walters Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell A. Davis officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilson, a retired farmer, was born September 14, 1879 to Nathan an Barbara Lauderback Wilson at Sheldon's Grove, Illinois (Schuyler County), He married Cora Trivelpiece in 1890 in Kearney, Neb. they resided in Nebraska before coming to Colorado in 1915. They homestead at Crook and farmed there until he retired in 1945 and moved to Sterling, Mrs. Wilson died July 29, 1962. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two son, Vurn Wilson of Sterling and Norris Wilson of Central Valley, California, two daughters, Blanche Bruck of Sterling and Veda Butterbaugh of Orlando, Florida, five sisters, Ola Harmon of Phoenix, Ariz., Ida Burkholder of McComb, Illinois, Lydia Mitchell of Sterling and Laura Dunblazier and Blanch Hall, both of Avon, Illinois, 13 grandchildren and 25 great grand children.
