Rev. J. N. Dewell Dead
Rev. J. N. Dewell, former pastor of the Rushville M. E. church circuit,
and head of a home for orphan children at Whitehall, Ill., died in that city Tuesday. He was stationed at Rushville from 1887 to
1889 and took up his work with the orphan home in 1892.
Rev. Dewell was a brother of Mrs. Sarah Denny of this city, who will be
unable to attend the funeral on account of illness. No particulars have been received as yet save the brief announcement of his
death, which was telegraphed to his sister.
