William Henry Bedenbender
William Henry Bedenbender, eldest son of August and Caroline Bedenbender, was born Sept. 14, 1870,
and departed this life at his home in Woodstock Township, Nov. 25, 1934, being at the time of his death,
64 years, 2 months, and 11 days of age.
On Dec. 30, 1896 he was united in marriage with Sarah E. Gregory. To this union were born five children, namely:
Mrs. Harlan Geer and Mrs. George Turner of Rushville, Mrs Myron Ebey of Macomb,
Henry D. and Floyd. P., at home. He is also survived by two brothers, George P. and Lewis Bedenbender of Rushville, and two
half-brothers, Roscoe Stevens of Frederick and Howard Stevens of Janesville, Wisconsin.
He grew to manhood in the community where he was born, and was a constant companion with his family throughout his life.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was always thoughtful of others. During his illness he was a
patient sufferer.
His wife preceded him in death on March 23, 1923.
All that loving hands could do was done, but the death messenger came and we must submit to him, knowing that all things
well. While he never joined any church, he lived an industrious and useful life, and loving what was right and honest.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. W. J. Humphrey were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Memorial Chapel Curch.
Internment was in the Palm Cemetery.
