My GGG Grandparents married March 30, 1831 in Rushville, IL. They were Thomas William and Eliza Jane Dewitt Reddick. Thomas was born abt.1810 in Hamilton Co. Ohio and died abt. 1898 near Fish Hook, Pike Co. IL. Eliza Jane was born abt. 1813 in Clark Co., Kentucky and died abt. 1882 near Fish Hook, IL. Both are buried on their farm land near Fish Hook. They had the following children, believed all born in Brown Co., IL.
1) Rebecca Jane Feb.15, 1832 - Sept. 21, 1895 married Nicholas Shafer Hetrick.
2) Thomas Martin abt. 1834-Jan. 15, 1876 Pattonsburg, Harrison Co., Mo., married Sarah Williamson.
3) Safronia married Robert Ransom on Feb. 23, 1856 in Schuyler Co., IL.
4) Pleasant William March 14, 1838-June 11, 1891 Quincy, Adams Co. IL. married Hannah Hetrick.
5) James M. abt. 1842-Aug. 03, 1916 Miller Twp, Marion Co., Mo.
6) Jesse F. March 25, 1849-Dec. 18, 1932 Quincy, IL, married Permelia _____.
7) John Wesley May 02, 1852-Oct. 02, 1921Quincy, IL, married Eliza Ann ____.
8) Franklin born March 1856 (unknown death date) married Rebecca J. Meyers.

Looking for information re: these names. In May, 1849 Alsey Turner married James Abbott and in 1856 Mrs. Alcey Abbott married George Bedenger. These marriages both occured in Schuyler Co., IL. Need any related info regarding siblings, parents or children of the above. James and Alsey did not show up on the 1850 Census of Schuyler Co. Any help welcome.

in Hancock County, Illinois; resided Schuyler County, Illinois; died Emmet County, Iowa.
Sylvanus J. Bagby, born about 1833 in Louisa County, Virginia, married Sarah Frances Bagby on April 16, 1857 in Hancock County, Illinois. (Source: Hancock County Vol 2, page 43 Lic #2927; Marriage Record - filed May 26, 1857. Married by James Stark (L.S.). License issued April 14, 1857 by H.J Fissenden, Deputy Clerk for C. Winston, County Clerk. Marriage date April 16, 1857). Sarah Frances Bagby (June 16, 1840 - March 26, 1923) was the daughter of William Bagby (October 11, 1816 -- June 15, 1908) and Eliza Waring (January 27, 1822 - January 1, 1909). Both of Sarah Frances Bagby's parents were born in Lewis County, Kentucky.
Sylvanus J. Bagby was the son of Rev. Alexander Bagby and Louisa Luck Bagby of Louisa County, Virginia. He can be found in the 1850 Census for Louisa
County, Virginia -- enumerated November 5, 1850. His age is given as 17 and his occupation is listed as Asst. Farmer. Additionally, his signature appears as a witness to his father's authorization for Arthur P. Bagby to marry Elizabeth Turner, signed October 1, 1849. Arthur P. Bagby is one of Sylvanus J. Bagby's four brothers. The others were James M. Bagby, John Bagby, and William Samuel Bagby. No other record of Sylvanus J. Bagby has been found. He is not listed in the 1860 Census for Illinois or Virginia.
Sarah Frances Bagby second married William Thomas Moore (October 8, 1827 - September 15, 1890) on August 20, 1863. On their marriage record she is
identified as Mrs. Sarah Frances Bagby reflecting her previous marriage to Sylvanus J. Bagby. (Source: Hancock County Vol. 4, page 6, Lic. #1418. Marriage Record - Lic. issued Aug 18, 1863, married Aug 20, 1863, recorded Sept 2, 1863, by F. M. Corbey, Clerk. Married by E. L. Hurd, Minister of the Gospel). Sarah Frances Bagby and her second husband, William Thomas Moore, had three children: George Emmett Moore, Homer Otis Moore, and Margaret Maude
Moore. They were all born and raised in Huntsville, Schuyler County, Illinois.

I am searching for information on the Thompson family of Ray IL. What I would like to know is who are the parents of Oscar E. , Ida F., Rosalie M., and Wilmettie E. Thompson. I know that Oscar married Rosa Allen in McDonough Co. in 1893. Ida married Perry Ritter (lic. 31688) in McDonough Co. and Rosalie married Frank Jacobs in Schuyler Co. in 1887 (Marriage Books, Vol. C, page 182, lic # 9096). No information on Wilmettie Eugena who is my great grandmother. Since these people were her siblings, I was trying to find out what their parents names were through them.

1. George W. STONEKING was born. Possible that Ruth and Thomas are brother/sister, since son of Ruth, Lewis was listed in 1880 IL Census as Luella's cousin.
He was married to Sarah DRISKILL (daughter of John DRISKILL and Malinda *UNKNOWN) on 15 Sep 1842 in McDonough Co., Illinois. Sarah DRISKILL was born in 1820 in Tennessee. George W. STONEKING and Sarah DRISKILL had the following children:
2 i. David STONEKING was born in 1844 in Illinois.

4 iii. Martha STONEKING was born in 1847 in Illinois.
SECOND GENERATION
3. Thomas J. STONEKING was born between Feb 1840 and 1846 in Illinois. He was living in 1910 in Adair Co., Missouri; Marrow Twp. living with Moses and Amanda. According to his grand-daughter Gertie Alice Bachman Collins, Thomas was married six different times during his lifetime. Until I can figure out, to who and who the mothers of each of the children are I will put them all under Mary/Mandy.
He also might have enlisted in the "C" Co. 119 Inf Reg. IL and would have been mustered out at Mobile, AL on 26 Aug 1865.
He was married to Mary/Mandy *UNKNOWN. Mary/Mandy *UNKNOWN was born in Iowa. Thomas J. STONEKING and Mary/Mandy *UNKNOWN had the following children:

"Martha Jones, born in 1854, died in 1992. Married Thomas Stoneking on August 20, 1887. No other information is known on their family." From book on Jones/Flynn Families written by Glenna Daniels.
He was married to Susanna (Anna) JONES (daughter of Daniel JONES and Elizabeth WEAVER) on 4 Apr 1893. Susanna (Anna) JONES was born in 1843 in Tennessee. She died in 1911. "Susanna "Anna" Jones, was born in 1841, died in 1911 (names and dates listed on parents' tombstone as were her sisters, Martha and Eliza). Census records indicate she was two years younger than Samuel putting her birth year more in the neighborhood of 1843. She was married to a
Smith. It has been said that she came to Missouri with two small children and no husband. No census records or marriage records have been found on her in Adair County." From book on Jones/Flynn Families written by Glenna Daniels.

Lewis ROBINSON was born about 1837 in Virginia. He died on 29 Jul 1883 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois. He was buried on 30 Jul 1883 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois; OakWood Cemetery. According to a Robinson cousin both he and his wife are buried in the potters section of Oakwood Cemetery with no stone.

A pitiful case of sickness came to as can is the third ward of this city Sunday night last, in the death of a man named Lewis Robinson, who, with his wife and an adopted daughter, six years of age, have been living in circumstances of sorest need for some time. They came to Macomb something over a year ago from Schuyler County; Robinson was in poor health, and for sometime, we hear, canvassed as a book agent; finally his disease, consumption, advanced so far that he was unable longer to make a livelihood; the wife, having to wait upon her husband, could not earn any money, and cruel want was added to sickness. Through pride, we learn, they did not call on the Supervisor, and it was only about a week ago that the neighbors knew of their absolute hunger. During last week dysentery attacked the already consumptive man, and Sunday he died. He was burried Monday. Mrs. Robinson, while waiting on her husband, was also taken with dysentery and was very ill when her husband died. There being no relatives to take care of the woman, Supervisor Imes conveyed her to the county house, where she will be cared for until she recovers. The little girl was taken by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Creel, living east of town.

Lurana FRISBIE was born about 1842 in Virginia. Obit in newpaper says she was born in Bethel township. She died on 21 Feb 1917 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois. She was buried on 23 Feb 1917 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois; OakWood Cemetery. She was also known as Lewrana.

Through information received of Sol Pestle of this city it was learned that Mrs. Robinson who died yesterday morning at the county farm was the widow of the late Lou Robinson, who is buried in Oakwood cemetery. Her maiden name was Frisbie and she was born in Bethel township. William and Elisha Frisbie were her brothers.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:45 o'clock at the Martin chapel; interment in Oakwood cemetery.

I am interested in the information DEATH OF A FORMER SCHUYLERITE published in the Rushville Times 1897 News. A. L. Wells. A. L. Wells is a brother to Solomon Wells. Solomon is my ggg-grandfather and another son of his is Nelson. I am trying to find information to prove that. Solomon died in Oct. 1849, listed on the Mortality Schedule of 1850 as having died in Camden. Also Nelson's wife Uriel Jennings Wells we think died around that area about 1838-1840. Also another brother of Nelson's Anderson H. Wells died around that area from Nov. 1840 to Jan of 1841. Also Solomon's first wife Mary Judd Wells, we think died around there about 1838-40. We are also trying to find were they are buried. If you can shed any light on any of this, I would really appreciate it.

My Gould's are reported to be from Scotland. Maybe starting with John Gould. We are also reported to have Indian Ancestry either Cherokee, or Blackfoot or maybe both. John Gould b. abt. 1870 ? and wife Olive had a child named Jason F. Gould b. NY abt. 1808. Jason had a sister Emily and siblings? Emily Gould married Harrison Goodell who resided in Fulton Co. Jason Gould married Eunice Sarah Walker in 1834 in Portage Co., OH. Their children were Warner M. Gould b. 1848 OH, Robert H. b. abt. 1839 OH OVI, d. Marion Co., MO., Joseph H. Gould b. abt. 1840 OH, OVI Light Artillery Company D.buried MO next to brother Robert, Sarah Gould, who married James France, and John Walker Gould who married Mrs. America Beghtol Hills. All of the children and Jason were in Schuyler Co., IL in 1870 and are listed on the census as quarrying rock/rock quarry, except for Joseph who stayed in OH for awhile. Joseph was a blacksmith by trade and is listed in Coshocton as coming to that Co. at age 13. The Gould's were close to the Hills who lived next door and also may have quarried rock. Two of the Gould brothers married two of the Hills sisters. Sarah Eunice - Jason's wife - is listed on the 1870 mortality schedule of Schuyler Co., IL. Then in 1880 everyone is gone but Warner M. Gould. John Walker Gould moved to AR, Robert moved to Marion Co., MO and brother Joseph came up from OH and joined him in MO. Warner M. disappears after 1880 and Martha Moore his wife remarries in 1886. Jason went to ?/or maybe deceased. Have sent to the jail and museum for obit on Sarah Eunice Gould, but no response. Can someone help me with her obit?

Lemuel F. Wheeler was born 3/14/1849 somewhere in IL. He died 7/7/1918, location unk. Lemuel married Mary Mullen on 9/18/1868 in Schuyler Co, IL. Mary was born 3/30/1846 in IL. The couple moved to McDonough Co before their first child was born in 1869.
If anyone knows any more about Lemuel's family I would really like to hear from you.

I am seeking information on Henry C. Tharp, born 24 June 1855 probably in Schuyler Co., IL to Stephen H. Tharp and Susan Linville. In a letter written by his mother in 1896, she stated he was living on the "old home place" in Schuyler County and had two boys who were living. He had two deceased children, a boy and a girl. He probably married first to Melissa E. Bellamy and had by her a son Charley born in 1879. Another wife was Alice Perry by whom I know he had a daughter b. 29 April 1889 in Schuyler Co., IL. Would like to contact descendants and also know more about Henry, where he lived, etc.

My great grandparents, Nicholas Emerick and Philapena Dick Emerick, are interred in Palm Cemetery.

I am seeking information about S. B. Montgomery and his family. I do not know his first name for sure. He was a Schuyler Co. Court Probate Judge, 1886-1890.
A Samuel Montgomery is listed as the step-father of Grover Shirley in Grover's 1914 obituary. Possibly Judge Montgomery had daughters Mary and Gertrude Montgomery. I would like to have some biographical data about Judge Montgomery and the names of his parents. Thank you for any leads on this man's identity.

I am looking for any leads or sources relative to the children of Basil Augustus WARING and Sarah L. THOMPSON. (Note that the name is often found
spelled Warring in source documents). The pertinent info on this family follows:
Basil Augustus WARING, b., April 7, 1775, in Maryland, son of James Haddock WARING and Anne BOONE, married Sarah L. THOMPSON March 26, 1818, in Lewis County, Kentucky. Basil removed with his family to North East Township, Adams County Illinois sometime in the late 1820s. Basil WARING died March 4, 1869, in North East Township, Adams County, Illinois - Sarah died August 31, 1890, in Birmingham, Schuyler County, Illinois.
Their one known and documented daughter is: Eliza WARING, b., January 27, 1822, in Lewis County, Kentucky. She married William BAGBY, November 29, 1838, in North East Township, Adams County, Illinois (source - Illinois State Marriage Records, Marriage License issued November 26, 1838, County Commissioners Court, Quincy, Illinois, Nicholas Wren, Clerk.) Eliza Waring BAGBY d., January 1, 1909, in Augusta, Hancock County, Illinois (source -- Gravemarker in Woodlawn Cemetery, Augusta, Illinois); William BAGBY d., June 15, 1908, in Augusta, Hancock County, Illinois (source -- Gravemarker in Woodlawn Cemetery, Augusta, Illinois).
A second known daughter is: Fannie WARING who married Will FLOWERS. Little is known about either individual. The sole documentation is a photograph taken at the 60th Wedding Anniversary of William and Eliza Waring BAGBY in 1898. The note on the back of the original picture states: "Mr. & Mrs. William Bagby taken on 60th Wedding Anniversary. Mr. & Mrs. Flowers in the back. Married 29, Nov. 1838. 'Mrs. Eliza Waring Bagby (Mrs. William Bagby) and Mrs. Fannie Waring Flowers (Mrs. Will Flowers) are sisters."
A third daughter is believed to be Mary Ann WARING. This belief is based on the following. The 1850 Federal Census for North East Township, Adams
County, Illinois enumerates the household of Basil WARING. Living at the home at this time were his wife, Sarah Thompson WARING, John J. GRAHAM, David
GRAHAM, Basil A. GRAHAM, John GRAHAM and Sarah HUMBLE, a domestic and her daughter, Spaina. John J. GRAHAM is the father of David, Basil A. and John.

The Illinois State Marriage Records (from the State of Illinois Archives and the Illinois Historical Society) show a marriage between a James J. GRAHAM
and Mary Ann WARING in North East Township, Adams County, Illinois on November 23, 1837. This marriage (the variation in the first name is noted)
combined with the fact that one of the Graham children bears the same name as Basil A(ugustus) and is living in the Waring household, leads to the belief
that Mary Ann WARING is one of the daughters. It is presumed that Mary Ann died before the 1850 Census. No other information is known about this family.
A fourth possible daughter is: Cynthia (Cinthia) WARING, who married John BILDERBACK in Schuyler County, Illinois, March 28, 1844, (source - Schuyler County Marriage Book, Vol. 1, page 121, License #1042). Based upon the age shown in the 1850 and 1870 Census for Schuyler County, Cynthia WARING was born about 1823 in Kentucky. John BILDERBACK was born about 1819 (based on 1850 and 1870 Census for Schuyler County) and was born in Lewis County, Kentucky. Cynthia was the second wife of John BILDERBACK - he first married Lydia WALKER on April 19, 1838, in Schuyler County, Illinois.
This John BILDERBACK is the half-brother of William H. BILDERBACK who married Frances BAGBY on October 12, 1829, in Lewis County, Kentucky (source - Lewis County Marriage Book A, page 95). Francis BAGBY is the older sister to William BAGBY who married Eliza WARING, as noted above. William BAGBY met Eliza WARING during a visit to the home of his sister Frances. Given the geographic proximities and other family marriages, it is possible that
Cynthia WARING is a daughter of Basil and Sarah WARING - however, no documentation is known.

I am looking for information on the ancestors of Daniel Alfred Fry and Dedie Pearl Welty Fry. What I know of my ancestry line is limited, but I will share
what I have. This is what I know so far: my grandfather's side of family: Daniel B. Fry m. Harriet Davis. Children of Daniel and Harriet: Daniel Alfred, Flora, Myrtle, James, and Allan. Daniel Alfred m. Dedie Pearl Welty (these are my grandparents).
My grandmother's side of family: Levi Welty m. Martha Clerk 9/19/1869. Children of Levi and Martha: Dedie Pearl, Fred, and Ella. Dedie married Daniel Alfred Fry (my grandparents).
Grandma Dedie died when my dad (Lyle) was very small (1923 I believe). Grandpa Daniel Alfred remarried Helen M. White about 1929. Grandpa died about
1951.
To my knowledge, all marriages and all births took place in Schuyler County; however, a lot of these people seem to be buried at Industry Cemetery, which I understand is in McDonough County.

Looking for any information on the Noel family that lived in the town of Birmingham, Ill. William Noel left Lancaster County, Pa. in 1834 along with his
sister, Eliza Ann Noel who married William Graham. William Noel married Sarah Graham, a niece of William Graham and daughter of James Graham. William
Noel died 1/8/1879. He was the first postmaster in Birmingham, and also the first school teacher. He had a son, C.C. Noel. The Noel Cemetery named after him was on his farm at the west edge of Birmingham.

William Noel Sr. married Sarah Ann Graham on 2/3/1842. William Harrison Graham married Eliza Ann Noel 9/14/1837. T. C. Noel married Eliza C.
Thompson 9/13/1866 after he came back from the Civil War in 1865 after being held a prisoner of war 1863 to 1865.
As far as I am able to find out, Sarah Ann Graham was a daughter of James Graham, brother to William Graham. Eliza Ann Noel was a sister of William
Noel, both came from Wrightsville Pa. York county in 1834. She was 18 and he was 16 at the time. I have her family traced back to France 1680. My Grahams
back to Scotland 1650.

Silas Foster and Sarah Ann How were married in Schuyler Co., IL on 3 Jan 1850. She was 18 and he was 41 in the 1850 Bainbridge Twp, Schuyler Co.,
IL census. By 1860, Sarah is no longer living with Silas and his 5 year old son Silas in Bainbridge Twp. Silas Sr. died 12 Jan 1864 leaving two minor sons, Silas
Jr. and James. According to court filings, there were no guardians living in Schuyler Co. for James and Silas Jr. Anyone know anything additional about this family?

My 2nd great grandfather is Lee W. Anderson. He along with his wife Dinah (Cundiff) Anderson are buried in the Palm Cemetery. His stone says that he died August 27, 1910. I am trying to find out where he died. Is there any way that someone could look this up for me. I've already been to Virginia and his death is not recorded there.
