(Left side):

Sarah J. BURNSIDE
Wife of Thomas BURNSIDE
D: June 6, 1888
Aged 66 yrs
Inscription reads:
_____________ in this place asleep/A room which none ever wakes to ________/ A calm and undisturbed repose _______ broken by the ________.
(*Note somewhat difficult to read due to needing cleaned and being an old stone)

That part of the East one-half (1/2) of the North-east quarter of Section eight (8) in Township One (1) North Range One (1) West

Two thousand four hundred and thirty-four (2434) links North of the Southwest corner of said tract of land and running thence north three hundred and four (304) links, thence south eighty-two (82) degrees east eighty-two (82) links, thence three hundred and seven (307) links, thence north seventy-eight (78) degrees west eighty-two (82) links to the beginning, containing one-fourth (1/4) of an acre more or less

It being fully understood that the above described tract of land is to be used as a family burying ground forever and for no other purpose.

Dated March 28, 1888
