Lewis vs Cruse & Brown: John B. Lewis filed a complaint against John Cruse and Fred Brown, who on 15 July 1866, a Sunday, broke the peace by swearing and threatening him and striking him. It is dated 18 Aug 1866 and signed by James H. Browning, J.P. It was then sent to Constables to arrest and bring John Cruse and Fred Brown to him or another J.P. to answer the charges.
