Schuyler County ILGenWeb

Inspirational Letters
wriiten by Schuyler County visitors

Since I have been the coordinator of Schuyler County ILGenWeb (Feb. 21, 2006) I have received several emails directly,
which has not appeared in the Schuyler County Guestbook. They have brighten my day and have inspired me immensely.
I have enjoyed and appreciated all of them. But this site hasn't been built by myself, alone.

It has been built by all of us - from every visitor who has donated genealogy material-
to the wonderful volunteers who have been doing a outstanding job providing an array useful research data to assist genealogists.
Everyone deserves a heartfelt thanks for furnished this incredible cluster of genealogical history.

Together "WE" are creating an awesome research stepping stone and a prominent part of Schuyler County History.

So I am posting these emails for all to see.
Thank you all for your inspiration & your contributions.
Your Schuyler County ILGenWeb Coordinator

I just wanted to let you know that your Schuyler County web site is fantastic!   One of the best I have ever seen.  You are to be congratulated!  It is so user friendly that I wish every county site could be even a fourth as terrific as yours.

I have visited your Genealogy library in Rushville and am looking forward to visiting it again, plus the Family History Center in your county.

I live in California, but my ancestors are all from Brown, Adams, or Schuyler counties.  I will be there again in October.  This web site has given me even more information and ideas of what I should search for while I am there.

THANK YOU for all of your hard work and your creativeness to make genealogy searching so delightful.

Sincerely,
Marilyn Peters

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know the Schuyler County
site is magnificent and a great treasure trove of valuable information
for researchers.   I have used it over the past couple of years and
can't believe what you have done since taking it over.  Siblings from
my direct line settled there early, Hamilton Anderson and cousin
William Anderson, along with David Tyree (brother-in-law), Samuel Smith
(brother-in-law) and William Nesbit (nephew), from Harrison County, KY.
Hamilton was there earlier and relocated back to Ohio and sold his
land to the others who all came  together three years later, in 1835.
Lots of information on them was gathered at your site to further my
research.   Some of these folks above were brothers, children or
related to my gggrandfather.
I think your site is probably the best I have seen for a Rootsweb
county site.   Your tireless efforts are evident and transcribing all
those records you have on line have taken days upon days, as I know
from experience of gleaning records.   Incredible job you have done and
thank you, thank you, thank you.   I have been doing my own research
for 20 years and the information you have posted is a gold mine for
those that live across the country from where these records are held.
You have now made available information that will lead folks to primary
sources, awesome!!!
May the genealogy gods shine on you and bring down all your own
personal family research walls.(;-)
Sincerely,
David Anderson

I love this website. Learning how to use a computer is very new to me, in fact I got lost in your site. A truly good lost. I just kept admiring the pages of history and how you displayed it. If I decide to make a web site I want to hire you!!

I've done research on several USGenWeb sites, but this site is by far the best I've ever saw. The historical data is incredible. Great site for those of us can't visit the county. So much genealogy data at my fingertips. This site kept me busy for hours and it was so interesting browsing around at the varies ways you have displayed the infomation. You truly are an artist. I shall spread the word and sing my praises about this site.
