Scripps Park, with its stately oak trees, was the perfect setting June 27, as the descendants of the Evans family gathered for an afternoon of fellowship, fun and food.
Even the weather cooperated, being partly cloudy with a nice breeze. Many acquaintances were renewed and many new acquaintances were made.
Some of the family enjoyed fishing in the lake, while others enjoyed identifying pictures of the present and past generations, plus one of Ruth Lashbrook (taken when she was in first grade). The 47th wedding anniversary of Willard and Betty Richey, was acknowledged, as was the induction of Allen Lashbrook into the army on June 30.
Randy Richey fried the fish and Ruth Lashbrook hosted the gala affair.
