John Robert Peterson, a resident of Schuyler County for more than 75 years, died Tuesday at the home of his son, Clyde in Brooklyn Township.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Damon Community church in Brown County, conducted by Rev. Williams. Interment was in the Reynolds cemetery.
John Robert, son of Robert & Susan Peterson, was born May 28, 1856 in Brown County and departed this life at the home of his son, Clyde in Schuyler County, February 14, 1938.
He was at the time of his death 81 years, 9 months & 13 days. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Louisa Pyles, who passed away on year following their marriage.
In 1879 he was married to Elizabeth Parker. To this union 2 sons were born: Oyetan, deceased and Clyde of Brooklyn Township.
Two brothers are left to mourn the passing, James and Emmanuel of Mt. Sterling, one sister, Sarah and the brothers, George, William & Fred preceded him in death.
Others left to mourn his passing are 8 grandchildren, 16 nieces & nephews & a host of friends.
