Obitutary
The Rushville Times Newspaper, October 24, 1934, Rushville, Illinois Death of Mrs. Thornton Funeral services were held at the M. E. church last Sunday afternoon, conducted by Corbin B. Stambaught, for Mrs. Martha Thornton, aged seventy-six years, who passed away at her home here last Friday following a stroke of paralysis Tuesday morning of last week. She is survived by six children, Chester, Charles, Mrs. Tracy Miller, and Mrs. Ola Kerr of Browning; Shelton of Beardstown, Mrs. William Winston of near Bushnell, and one brother, Alburn Thornton of Beardstown. Her husband, William Thornton, passed on several years ago. Burial was made in the Ridgeville cemetery. The Rushville Times Newspaper, Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois, c/o Schuyler Co.
