I am looking for others who are researching Barron and Riley familiesin Schuyler Co. mid 1800s. My ggggrandmother Caroline Riley married JosephBarron. At the time they were in Fayette Co. Illinois. Caroline was thedaughter of George W. and America (???) Riley. She had the following siblings:William, America, Sarah, John A. and Elizabeth all born between 1840 and1850. George claimed to be from North Carolina and would have been bornabout 1813. America claimed to be from Kentucky and would have been bornabout 1824. I have noticed that there are other Riley and Barron Familiesin Schuyler CO. More over the children’s name follow the same pattern thatis in my family. I am hoping that there might be a connection and thatsome one can help me if this sounds familiar.
Thanks,

Carl W. WardWARD
I was informed that there were many many WARDs livingin Schuyler County, Illinois in the early to late 1800’s and that severalof those WARD families
came from New York and many of these and/or their descendants wenton to Adams County, Illinois and or to Missouri. These specific facts areimportant to me because my Charles WARD was born in Allegany County, NewYork in 1805. He is first found in civil records in 1835 in Adams County,Illinois, the county just to the West of Schuyler County and then in the1860’s migrated to Knox County, Missouri. In addition, it appears thatthere was someone named Charles S.Ward that was in the 1840 US Census ofSchuyler County and I also have found land deed records in this countyof a Charles Ward.
I’d like to hear from anyone researching any ofthe WARD families in Schuyler County, but especially if they know any infoabout this Charles Ward that appears in some records. I’d be glad to sharewith you the information I have on my Charles WARD family. Thanks.
