I am looking for KesiahCOLLIER born in Schuyler County, Illinois, on May 12, 1833 as she statedon a certificate of marriage in 1859 when she became the second wife ofmy greatgrandfather, Thomas Wheeler ROBERTSON, who was born in Indianaand went to California. Kesiah and TW met coming west on a wagon trainsometime in the 1850s. Kesiah died in California in 1904 and I have beenunable to find so much as one COLLIER in Schuyler County. Family lore saysthat Kesiah was first married and divorced by a nephew of the first governorof Kentucky and I was able to find a marriage between Kesiah COLLIER andHilman T. WALKER in the 1840s. He later married in 1856 to Susan WINSTEAD.Kesiah and TW had four children together as well as the three that TW hadfrom his first marriage. I would very much like to find our about Kesiah’sparents and if she had brothers and sisters. I found some Colliers butfrom the area in Indiana that my greatgrandfather was born, Rushville,Indiana – not Rushville, Illinois. But the writing on the marriage certificateis definitely Illinois. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on Kesiah’sorigins.
