Dora D. Covey was born 26Sep 1856 at Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois. There is very strong evidencethat she was a carrier of a rare genetic disorder called “X-Linked JuvenileRetina.Schisis.” I don’t know which of her parents she got it from. Shewas their only child. This condition is degenerative and causes legal blindnessin males before age 40. Because of its rarity, it is often mis-diagnosed.If you have ever heard of blindness or poor eyesight running in the followingfamilies, please contact me. COVEY of Schuyler & Pike counties, Illinois.CARLOCK from Tennessee & of Schuyler county, Illinois. TRACEY of Fulton& Schuyler counties, Illinois.
