Know all men bythese present,
That I Elijah Hindman beingin health of body and soundness of mind, do hereby make known my will andtestament concerning the division of my property after my death.

And I herein make known thatI do give and bequeth to my Wife Ann Hindman the farm on which I now livebeing of the west part of the –west quarter of Section 10 –west of theCounty of Schuyler and State of Illinois, containing 133 acres, to haveand to hold the same (with all the personal property belonging to me atmy death) under her controls for her support and maintenance during herlife. And I do hereby make known that it is my Will and testament thatafter her death, the — real estate and what ever personal property maybe in her possession at the time of her death, the same to be sold andthe income of said real estate and personal property shall be divided amongmy Children in the following manner. And first I  do give and bequethto my Daughter Lettitia J. Wilson the sum of three hundred dollars, thesame to be let out or loned on interest untill my grandson Elijah H. Wilsonarives at the age of 21 years, the interest of said three hundred dollarsto be apropriated for the use and benefit of his Mother, and the principleto be paid over to said Elijah H. Wilson at the age of twenty-one years.

I do also give and bequeathto my Daughter Mary Carter the sum of one hundred dollars, to be paid outof the proceeds of the sale of said real estate and personal property.

I do also give and bequeathto my Daughter Hannah Ann Anderson the sum of one hundred dollars, to bepaid out of the proceeds of the above mentioned property.

It is also my will and testamentthat the remaining proceeds of said real estate and personal property shallbe equally divided among my five sons, Samuel B. Hindman, Elijah Hindman,David Hindman, James Hindman and Ebenezer E. Hindman.

It is also my will and testamentthat as son Elijah has received one hundred dollars, that this same shallbe deducted from his share of said real estate. And as I have given eachof my above named sons a horse (excepting Sam) it is my will that he shallhave a horse worth 15 dollars or its equivelent in money, out of the proceedsof said real estate and personal porperty.

It is also my will that ifany of my above named sons should die (unmarried) before the division ofthe proceeds of said real estate and personal property, that his share,or shares shall be equally divided among my surviving sons.

It is also my will that mysmall library of religious Books be equally divided among my sons and Daughtersand not to be sold as other property.

It is also my will that allmy just debts and funeral expenses; be paid before my division of saidproperty shall be made, or — after my death.

It is also my will and testamentthat my son Samuel B. Hindman and — H. Demaree share as the Executorsof this my will and testament.

Given under my hand and sealthis 22nd day of April in the year of our Lord 1863.
